As regular visitors to this blog may know, when we go on holiday we try to bring back some silly chocolate from where we’ve been. So, amongst other things, we’ve had “Cowboy” chocolate from Houston, Texas, a chocolate Eiffel Tower (from, erm, Paris) and various other “amusing”confectionery.В It’s been a while since the last such post (all work and no holiday makes Jack a dull boy), but we now have an Egyptian version.
Sadly, I couldn’t find a pyramid or a sphinx made of chocolate, presumably because the Egyptians design their confectionery around good taste and what sells, rather than around the desires of idiotic British tourists looking for the most stereotypically shaped edibles possible.В However, they do make “Cuttlefish Flavoured Crisps”, which the team reported as tasting “surprisingly good”.В In this photo they’re being held by Henrique, one of our CS team who has been manning the phones and keeping us all amused at Flowers HQ for just over a year now.
Having failed to get comedy Egyptian chocolate, at least I was able to get some very tasty Baklava with an Egyptian motif to share with the different teams and here you see Stefanie with CS’s box.
Stefanie is a bit of a polymath, not only working on customer services for our English websites, but also answering calls from our German website, Arena Blumen.В In addition, Stefanie speaks fluent French and is currently helping translate our site for the forthcoming launch of Arena Fleurs (website still under construction).В Impressive stuff!
That’s it for this episode of comedy chocolate (find V, IV, III, II and I here).В Over and out!

u make sense lol, i have some with labels on and others not
ReplyDeleteI been trying to understand that myself. But if you take the label off..it gets dust stuck where the lable was...
ReplyDeletethe average nigga aint no collector though.. few hats max.
ReplyDeletetrue dat true dat
ReplyDeleteTTTTTTRRRRRRRRRRRUUUUUUUUUEEEEEEEEEEE u got a point
ReplyDeleteu got a point. i agree
ReplyDeleteI take everything off except da gold sticker, its starting to peel off though. I keep it on cus others do, I dunno why.. just to go with the fashion I guess ha....
ReplyDeleteI understand that peeps keep it on cuz they collect their fitteds. Especially in the case of 59fifties. If it was a Stall & Dean, or what other brand is out there, I wouldn't be bothered by ripping them out. But them stickers give your collection cred. With so many counterfeiters out there, it's like collectors feel more secure with the stickers on. If you wear them though, I don't see the point. Good point, though, this is prolly the most debatable topic for fitted collectors.
ReplyDeleteIf u take it off sometimes the color is lighter under the sticker so me personally i leave it on,it makes it look more krispy!!!
ReplyDeleteI take the price stickers off, personally, but I leave the 5950 label on the top. For me, it's kinda the same as if someone collects action figures and doesn't take it out of the packaging since they are trying to keep it in mint condition as much as possible, except I still wear my hats, because I'm not just buying the hat to display it, but I want to keep it in it's original condition as much as possible. I hope that's at least understandable, and different people do different things.
ReplyDeleteI leave the sticker on it so it looks fresh
ReplyDeleteThe reason why i leave the tags on mine is that i use them as a way to keep my Fitted clean. Cause some fitted have either a white top or bottom brim...So when i move or take off my fitted i place my fingers on the tags to avoid dirtying them...try it out. Peace.
ReplyDeletei do it cuz other ppl do it. but now i take them off :)
