Otherwise, belt size is important - if you get one that fits your waist/hips correctly there won't be much left to hang off after it's clasped. Or, with my woven brown belt I sometimes stick a bobby pin through to hold the end down. Tape might work, too, in some cases, but I haven't personally tried that.
